SALMAN HAMEED

Salman Hameed started his career in 1978 at Premier Tobacco Industries as Assistant Manager, Budget and Cost. In 1986 he moved to American Express Travel Related Services as Controller Operations.
In 1989 he joined Philip Morris Asia, Hong Kong, and held a series of finance and controller positions. He was appointed Regional Finance Director in August 2000 and promoted to Vice President Finance Asia Pacific in August 2001.
In 2005, following Philip Morris International Inc.’s (PMI) acquisition of PT HM Sampeorna Tbk. (HMS), he moved to Indonesia as Chief Financial and Information Officer at HM Sampeorna.
In March 2007, Salman Hameed was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lakson Tobacco Company following its acquisition by PMI.
MATTEO PELLEGRINI
President PMI Asia Pacific region
Matteo Pellegrini joined PMI in 1991. He was Business Development Manager for the Italian market before becoming Marketing Director in 1994.
Matteo was then appointed Managing Director in no fewer than four affiliates, moving between Portugal, Spain, France, and finally returning to his native Italy in 2001.
In 2003 he moved again, this time to Hong Kong to oversee PMI’s business in the Asia Pacific region.
DOUGLAS WALTER WERTH
Vice President Finance, PMI Asia Pacific region
Doug Werth began his career in Philip Morris USA in 1987, where he held various accounting positions.
In 1996, he became Assistant Controller and moved through several roles including Director Financial Planning and Analysis, Director Financial System Implementation, and Director Operations.
Doug was promoted to Controller in 2002 and was responsible for decision support and financial controls for Marketing and Sales in Philip Morris USA.
In 2003, Doug joined PMI as Controller based in Hong Kong where he was responsible for financial reporting and planning for the Asia Pacific region as well as developing financial talent throughout the organization.
In 2005, Doug assumed his current position to oversee finance for PMI's Asia Pacific region.
DAVID ABBOTT
Finance, IS and Director, Lakson Tobacco Company
David Abbott's career in Finance spans several large multinationals, such as Mobil, Electronic Data Systems and Reuters. His work has taken him to many parts of the globe, including diverse locations such as Ethiopia, Japan, Morocco, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, and Venezuela.
David began his career at Philip Morris International (PMI) at the Swiss Headquarters in 2003, where he was Regional Internal Controls Manager, working mainly in Eastern Europe. He worked on the integration of PMI's acquisition in Serbia, and managed the global implementation of Sarbanes Oxley.
In 2005, David became Regional Internal Controls Manager for Asia. He was appointed General Manager, Internal Controls and Compliance and Chief Internal Auditor at Lakson in 2007, upon the acquisition of Lakson by PMI. Having set the framework for Lakson's integration into PMI, he was appointed Director Finance, IS and Planning at Philip Morris Korea in 2008.
David assumed his current position of Finance and IS Director for Lakson Tobacco in June 2010.
EUNICE HAMILTON
Vice President, Human Resource Asia
As Head of Human Resource function in Asia, Eunice focuses on areas such as talent development and management, strategic recruitment, compensation and benefits, and performance management.
Eunice has enjoyed a varied career with Philip Morris since joining the company in 1990. Her first position was in Recruitment, based in Lausanne before moving to New York as Director Management and Organization Development. This led to as role as Director of Human Resources for the Czech Republic and Slovakia based in Prague before her first move to Asia as Vice President of Human Resources.
Eunice holds a Masters of Arts from Glasgow University in Scotland and a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources from the London School of Economics. Before joining Philip Morris, she was Human Resources Manager with RS McColl in Glasgow, Scotland, a large retail company, as well as a speech writer at the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland.
MOHAMMAD FAROOQ SHAKOOR
Chief Financial Officer, Lakson Tobacco Company
Farooq Shakoor started his career in 1978 with Lakson Tobacco Company as an Accounts Assistant and became Accounts Officer the same year.
In 1982 he became Manager Finance and then General Manager Finance in 1992. He was appointed Director Finance in 1994.
In July 2007 Farooq Shakoor was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Lakson Tobacco Company.
ASMER NAIM
Director Operations, Lakson Tobacco Company
Asmer Naim started his career in 1987 with Lakson Tobacco Company. He joined as Inventory Manager and was promoted to General Manager Procurement in 1991.
Asmer was given the additional responsibility for Production in 1995 and became General Manager Production & Commercial.In 2002, Asmer was promoted to Director Production & Commercial.
In June 2007 he became Director Operations with all factories, GLT plant, Leaf, Product Research and Development and Quality Assurance reporting to him.
